A new podcast + essays on mental health & healing; drops October 27 〰️〰️

Three animated anthropomorphic bean characters with smiling faces, rosy cheeks, and green leaves on their heads, watering and tending small plants in a garden during sunlight.

Life’s a garden, and we’re all just beans — different shapes, colors, and flavors, but rooted in the same soil.

Welcome to Human Beans, where stories of struggle and resilience are planted, tended, and shared. I’m Mira Crowe — a Southern GenX woman with a curious mind, a psychology background, and a heart that’s been through the wringer and still manages to bloom.

Around here, we don’t do perfection. We do honesty. We dig into the messy, beautiful reality of mental health, recovery, and the everyday art of being human. Pull up a chair, pour something warm, and let’s grow something real together.

While you’re here, wander a bit — you’ll find heartfelt podcast episodes, personal essays and reflections, books and handmade creations from the Human Beans Publications garden, and a few ways to stay connected or lend support. Every corner of this space was built to feel like a kitchen table for the soul — where conversation, curiosity, and community all have room to grow.
